CANCA CHRISTIAN ESTROSI - Christian Estrosi élu président de la communauté d'agglomération Nice Côte d'Azur (Canca) avec 90% des suffrages exprimés. 91 des 93 conseillers que compte la Communauté d'agglomération étaient présents, 82 ont voté pour Christian Estrosi, seul candidat, 9 ont voté blanc. 

L’homme fort du département cumule désormais les mandats de maire de Nice, de président de la Canca, de président du Conseil général des Alpes Maritimes. C’est grâce à un recours déposé par le Parti radical de gauche (PRG) qui a demandé l'annulation du premier tour des municipales niçoises que l’ancien secrétaire d’état à l’Outre mer peut légalement exercer ces trois mandats, auxquels il compte bien, au soir du 25 mai, rajouter le siège de député de la cinquième circonscription des Alpes Maritimes.
